Three Dead in Indian Kashmir

Three people, including a senior police official, were killed in violence in Indian-administered Kashmir, police sources said.

Two soldiers died when gunmen fired on a police patrol in the town of Sopore north of summer capital Srinagar.
One civilian was killed in Srinagar on Friday after he was allegedly killed by Indian paramilitary groups.
The incident occurred when the Muslim-dominated Kashmir valley remained closed for a fourth day.
Closed after violent protests in Srinagar to protest the killing of 15-year-old boy on Sunday.
Farouk Wamiq wounded in the head by a tear gas and police dispersed a protest in the city against the Indian government.
The officer who fired the fatal bullet that killed the boy had been suspended.
